It started with a camera— chasing ducks, trying to hold onto something that wouldn’t stay still. Now, I capture the stories of others. II — Six Letters Six Letters is more than a name. It’s a way of seeing— built on pattern recognition, timing, and intention. Not just capturing what’s visible, but understanding what it means. III — The Foundation Born in Detroit, Michigan, I’ve always been drawn to visual communication. I studied graphic design and photography, and early in my career, I found myself documenting weddings— connection, emotion, and the moments people return to. But the path didn’t stay there. IV — The Shift In 2012, I enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman. I served as an automatic rifleman and later in leadership roles during deployments to Afghanistan and Korea. Through all of it, I kept a camera close. In 2017, I transitioned into Public Affairs— where storytelling became part of the mission. Over time, that role expanded across operational assignments, strategic communication, and leadership at scale. In 2019, I was named FORSCOM Military Photographer of the Year. I later studied visual journalism at Syracuse University— continuing to refine both craft and perspective. My work and leadership have since been recognized through honors including the Master Sgt. Marcia J. Triggs Award for Excellence; induction into the Honorable Order of Saint Gabriel; and selection as a Training with Industry Fellow at Disneyland Resort. My work continues exploring how storytelling, audience, and impact evolve at scale. Experience changed how I see the world— and what I choose to capture. V — The Work My work has been published and distributed globally— across outlets like Stars & Stripes, U.S. News & World Report, Popular Mechanics, Al Jazeera, and official Department of Defense channels. Across environments—military, institutional, and creative— the focus remains the same: To create work that feels intentional, not accidental. VI — The Perspective Across everything, one thing has remained consistent: The ability to recognize patterns. To anticipate moments. To understand what matters before it fully reveals itself. Not everything meaningful is obvious. Most of it is quiet.
